Jon Armstrong : Grade 11

Starting the year at number 1, Jon unfortunately sustained a broken leg during the Conference League pairs meeting on the 31st May. Jon is currently recouperating but is determined to make a return to track for the Wildcats before the end of the season. The ‘Mighty Midget’ hails from Manchester and arrives at the Wessex Stadium seventeen years after making his debut for local club; Belle Vue. He has spent most of his career riding in the Premier and Conference leagues, with his best season at Graham Drury’s Mildenhall in 2006. Last season was tough for gritty Mancunian where he had a short spell at the newly-formed Birmingham Brummies alongside ex-Wildcat Lee Smart.
